Re: PANHEAD oil pump
What do you mean "you had the seat done"? And often tapping a ball into it can crack the casting. A very close high magnification inspection is the first step.

I'm no Rocket Scientist, but if your losing all your oil in a couple of weeks, you have a majot #ss problem,. Look for the drip down, trace it back, case closed,
Common sense,

Re: PANHEAD oil pump
When say I had the seat done I took the pump off sent it to a guy that supposedly was good at fixing oil pumps that was recommended by people in amca I don't remember his name or shop I remember he was by bloomsberg bill museum in PA it was supposedly fixed when I got it back never look at the seat ,put back in my pan same problem so I take ur feeling either spring won't do anything I take back off clean oil pump look at seat magnification see how it looks as far as hitting the ball with brass punch that was one thing I was told to try incase there was a burr on the seat

Re: PANHEAD oil pump
Excalibur thankyou I read through it, I am thinking that this winter I will just put another pump on it, I see some people say if gaskets are too thick will cause the problem
