Sidecar wiring
Sorry for all the questions. I’m looking for route of sidecar loom/wires from the rear terminal box to sidecar. Any info/photos would be great. Searched KB but could not find anything...Craig

The sidecar wiring is a very long and twisted road.Redspanheads wrote: ↑Thu Sep 09, 2021 12:51 am Sorry for all the questions. I’m looking for route of sidecar loom/wires from the rear terminal box to sidecar. Any info/photos would be great. Searched KB but could not find anything...Craig
First off, what year sidecar and fender style are you asking about? It all changed with the later fenders.

Re: Sidecar wiring
One wire is connected to the taillight terminal, one to the brake light terminal. They follow the top frame rail to the crossover (fender mount rail) where it crosses over, then follows the upper right frame rail to the axle area and follows the sidecar frame tube across to the right side where it goes forward to the fender pivot hinge and follows the fender using clips to the fender light and taillight. It has a bit of slack at the front so the fender when hinged forward for tire dismounting does no stress it. The wires are quite long...Redspanheads wrote: ↑Thu Sep 09, 2021 2:23 am Motorcycle is a 55, mechanical brakes. The sidecar is a 49
