Just ordered 1.5mm piano wire...off Amazon.

Came in 5 meter coil.... like for 15 euros. Got a bit to spare...lol.

Local music store in Kitzingen, 6 miles from me mostly has guitars, fiddles ( violins for educated folks ), mandolins, and such, not so much pianos

When I bought mine it came with plenty of extra, too. I always figure better too much than not enough! Turn your bros on to a length when they need some!

George....
I did a quick search for "piano wire", also called music wire, and it is sold in 3 foot lengths, by decimal sizes, in your case .055, so take your calipers to your local music store, or industrial supplier, i suppose the piano "note" is irrelevant....
BTW: LowBrow Customs sells a generic internal throttle kit....

At our old shop we bought entire rolls, about 250 Ft from a steel supply house. They had spools of every gauge.
McMaster Carr sells it by the roll.
