Restoration Question. 32E generator, how is the tag on the generator attached.
Looks like some type of rivet. How do you go about replacing the tag and where do you get the attachments or rivets? Is it some type of pin that gets peened over?
Looking to replace the tag on my genny.

I believe they are "drive rivets".
They have a round head, and a shank that has lengthwise ridges that twist about a quarter-turn.
The case is precisely drilled to accept the ridges as a press fit.

James....You might try Old Dude, the hardware guy. I don't think the rivets have a part number, but a few years ago I bought a couple of gen tags and he had the rivets also. It's worth a call to him.....rod
