valve cover gaskets

hey guys, who makes those rubber, reusable valve cover gaskets ? accurate engineering ?
How do I get a pair ?

I am inclined to put "reusable gasket" right in there with "self cleaning rifle" and "free sex". That being said Accurate does indeed make those gaskets you want.Google their name for their website.

I've had 'em on my motor for three years now. No problem. A buddy is ready to assemble his
rebuilt motor and asked what I was using. Having just had knee replacement surgery and taking
Norco for the pain I just wanted to confirm the AE gaskets here on the board.

I tried them, didn't have much luck with them though.

Instructions said 15"/lb with blue locktite. 15 "/lb is VERY loose. Screws kept coming out, then gaskets shot out.

Next set, I went tighter. then they just squished like blubber and got caught up in the valve springs & top collars. Sent little rubber bits down the oil drain holes and made a mess of everything.

I use James brand neoprene/duraprene gaskets now. I get a small amount of weeping at the left outer corners, but it's manageable.

I have used 3M super weatherstrip adhesive to seal\attach many different sorts of rubber gaskets over the years with excellent results.

I've had good luck with the following procedure on most any type of "cover" gaskets. ie. valve covers, timing covers, gear covers, inspection covers ect. If your using locktite your gonna want to use something to spray inside each bolt hole to remove any oil. If the holes not clean and dry the locktight won't hold. First make sure both surfaces are flat and even, and free of any gasket remnants, especially so around the bolt holes, hammer the tin covers flat and dress any cast surfaces with a file. Clean one of the sufaces with brakekleen or laquer thinner. Apply a thin layer of "GASKETCINCH" to one of the surfaces and then apply another thin layer of GASKETCINCH to the side of your gasket that faces or meets the surface you first put the gasketcinch on. Let the gasket cinch get tacky and the put the gasket in place and make sure its fully seated all the way around. Next apply a film of white grease to the clean side of the gasket and then assemble your parts. I've used this on cars and bikes many many times and it usually works quite well, allowing me anywhere from 2-4 even 5 uses before having to replace the gasket again.
