So while riding home last night I heard a nasty sound like the front pipe fell off. Luckily I was only down the street from home. Checked her out and found nothing. This morning I checked again and heard the same noise while I kicked her. Looked closer and saw a gap in the head gasket on the front cylinder. Granted this is a metal gasket but she's blown!
The other side looked good. It's been 2 years of riding and now she's down for new gaskets tomorrow.

Be sure to check the head for flat while its off.The common low spot is between the 2 head bolts where the exh port goes through.

The surface of the head checked to be flat. All the valves are still tight and sealed. Installed it all with new gaskets and she back on the road. My uncle last changed that gasket 2 years ago.
