Rocker Arm Oil Hole Question (Help)

Im selling several sets of my old rocker arms...some of them have an external oil hole at the far side of the top block...i cant remember if they are for the intake or exhaust (its been a while)...cant find any info on it in manual or on line searches...would appreciate any help to refresh my memory...thanks

1hdrider!

The story I was told;
The designers felt that the elevation of the intakes would starve them for oil, so they drilled holes to be fed by drip from the felts.

It must have been a bother to drill the exhausts.

ok...i can understand that...but were they drilled for intake or exhaust application...ive got 8 rocker arms & only 2 of them have these holes...thanks

ok...so am i to understand that the factory only allowed these holes to be placed in the intake rockers...fill me in if any one has more info or other explanation...rhyme or reason...thanks
