speedometer light

#1

Post by awander »

Does anyone have a recommendation for a 6V speedometer light that I don;t have to pay $10 for? If I buy it from a "bike shop" it will be expensive.

I have been able to find bright bulbs that don;t last, and dim ones that do. I'm guessing I should use a bulb rated at about 7V so it doesn;t get burned out.

ANy recommendations?

I picked up several from Napa auto parts. They had to order them.
I can't remember what they cost but 'twern't much.

The speedo light had an elongated lens about 7/8 tall. It is not shaped like the indicator bulbs in the dash.
