saw this on fleabay, had to share it. last time I looked it was up to $270 after 6 or 7 bids, wow! and both mounting tabs are sheared off too.

but it is a genuine pan head speedo, its painted right on the face

And even the numbers are hand painted , truly this came from HD's custom shop back then .

Not to many years ago I rewired and helped a dude get his '51 servicar
running. For payment he gave me a mint condition '56 Pan speedo. Even
back then I new it was worth big bucks. So, what did I do with it? I gave it to my best bro to use on his Pan he was (and still is!) restoring.

It amazes me what people want ($) for Pan parts on the ...bay. I would never pay that kind of money. Just another reminder of why I miss
the "good 'ol days". When most "bikers" had large stashes of parts and
freely traded or gave to there friends. Plus, I was younger, thinner and
able to ride a 'chopper' for many many miles back then too....LOL....
