G'day,

Can some one tell me when this ball end lever was introduced
and what years it was available.

Thanks
Pete

That type ball end lever first appears in the '60 accessory catalog with a part number of 45014-59. It was introduced to comply with the AMA competition ruling on a 3/4 inch ball for race bikes and was offered as an accessory to anyone. It continued until the end of that lever clamp style was replaced by the new one in '65. It was never standard equipment, but fit the bracket back to '41 so was often used as a replacement blade.
