What year did Harley switch from steel to aluminum levers? It was some time in the late fourty. Thanks, Bob

As always, Palmer's is best consulted for such distinctions.

The 45017-41 lever that is most commonly found as aluminum was cast steel for many WLA issues.

The steel lever and bracket were also used on civilian models late 42 to mid 46. Black for civvies and OD for military.
