What other years share the same rear fender as a 1953?

Thanks!

Except for some minor changes involving the number of reinforcing ridges on the left front indentation for the chain all of the post-war rigid frame rear fenders were basically the same thru '57. The size and number of holes in the hinged rear section varied depending on which tail lamp was mounted, the beehive for the earlier knuckles had a different set of holes than the tombstone on the pans. Most of the '47 hinged sections came from the factory with both sets of holes so you could mount either one, and the big oval tail light (did those have a name?) needed a big hole. But the basic fender stampings were all the same.

Alford, Plus the '40 - '48 have a rib stamped along the outer edges. '49 - '57 didn't? There is one of each on E-bay right now. Regards, Tony.

Alford,
The rear fender from '51 to '54 is the same. All the others have differences!
