Try Bruce Palmer's ' How to restore your Harley-Davidson' and Greg Field's 'The original Harley-Davidson Panhead'. You can find them in the Books & Manual section of this site.
Or here: http://www.hydra-glide.com/info/info_1959.php

Bongiorno Giorgio, welcome to another '59 owner, the finest looking Panheads of them all. (that should provoke a response!). Also check out Greg Fields "Harley Davidson Panheads". Good colour photos and a jolly good read. Standard colours for '59 were sky blue, red or black. Optional colours were Hi-Fi red and Hi-Fi turquoise (a type of metallic finish). All these had white tank panels. The police models came in solid silver or white. Any of the standard colours could be requested without the white tank panel. There is a couple of '59 Pans with stock paintjobs in the photo gallery section on this site.

Would it be to much to ask if someone would/could take the effort to scan/post a couple of pages from the books mentioned earlier ?
I also want to paint the '59 the original way, and a couple of definite ok-pics would help enormeous.

Thanks !!

I was going to recommend Greg Field's "Original Harley-Davidson Panhead" because it has 16 great pictures of a 59 FLH restored by Scott Lange, but it is now out of print and the cheapest one on Amazon is almost $350!! But worth it
