I've got a couple of stripped original hinged sections with good holes out in the shop, I'll pattern one of them out for you in the morning if no one else beats me to it.
Most of the early ones, and replacements, came drilled for both a beehive and a tombstone, I'll post a pic along with the dimensions.

I knew someone would beat me to it. Here is a pic of an original hardtail hinged section, all the holes are original factory. As I mentioned, the first ones were drilled for both tail lights, this is a '47. The holes circled in soapstone are for the tombstone. The 2 holes above and on either side of the elongated hole were for the license plate bracket used with the beehives. The jagged looking rusted out hole on the right was where the wire loom ended and came out through the fender. Distance from the bottom of the hinge notch to the center of the top elongated hole is 5 7/8", the elongated hole is 1/2" from top to bottom of the opening. Lower tombstone hole is 10 1/8" from the hinge notch to center of hole. The 2 hole in between the circled holes are for the beehive tail light.
