swing arm fender struts
Hello all, been collecting parts to put my 58 back to stock. Just curious if theres is any way to spot a original set of rear fender struts? Are the marked at all? Thanks in advance Bob

Pan58, I just went into the storage room and pulled an original set of struts off the shelf and I see no casting numbers. This is unusual since the motor company liked to piss on every hydrant on the block but there are a few pot metal parts that don’t carry a number. I also checked my 60 which is milk crate bound and found no numbers. The only thing I can suggest is to look for digs in the metal were the original luggage rack bolted on. This one item you will still find at a swap meet. Filthy dirty in a box and you at that point will know it’s real. Bob

Thanks for the response. I've been watching these on egay but, they all see like aftermarket sets. I would like to find an original set and have them re plated. I'm going to a flea market next weekend and this is on my wish list Thanks Bob
