Cadmium plating

#1

Post by dontsink »

Hi Gents,

In the palmers book it says that cadmium plating can be done at home.
Where i live nobody does in professionally, so is it really that easy? And if yes, how is it done?
Is there a good instruction available how to do it and what is needed?

Thank you,
Thomas

Thank you Panhead, i read the posts. But what i would need is a "List" what chemicals are used for it, and how it is done.
I live in europe, and here the cad plating isn´t done anymore (it´s inviromental hazardous) and i can´t buy a complete set for doing it.
The chemicals are available i guess, but i need to know which one and how to use them.
Parkerizing seems to be less complicated.

Thank you,
Thomas
