For some reason having trouble opening your pic and/or enlarging it enough to look at the paint.

Actually the original color is more of a bronze color. Mine is on pages 2 and 3 of Panheads by year in the gallary under 1958. Mine is a little darker then the original paint bikes I have seen. It changes a lot with light.

New to the site and not great with computers so not sure how to find the pics you are referring to in your response. I think I've seen the bronze look and if that is the original sabre gray metalic don't think I will go that color. The gray you used looks great but I'm wanting to go with period colors - calypso red, skyline blue, sabre gray or black, all with two tone birch white. don't want to use the police colors for my restoration. thanks, vic

Thanks Richie, It belongs to my brother, I just take care of it for him !

Last year, we rode North Carolina in the Durham area. Beautiful state !

Thanks to everyone for the feedback. I think I have the information I need to obtain paint for my restoration. Looking forward to posting some pics on the site. Should be 90% correct parts with period details. Having a ball restoring a classic to riding condition. Already looking forward to my next build with an earlier bike.
