48-50 Gas tank emblem mount plates

Going to mount orig. emblems on my 48 Pan. The repro mounts don't fit. Is there a source for the orig mounting plates, or is that an E-Bay only item?.....Thanks Rod

The original emblems dont fit the repo mount?
The repo mounts are to big?
Some repo parts need modification to work properly.
The only original mounts I have seen are on original tanks, nice original tanks are expensive.

I have orig. emblems and tanks. Someone " customized " the tanks by removing the mounting plates. I guess I will cut down the repro plates to fit the old emblems...Rod

As long as you do not weld them on, you should be able to work with the repros.
Soft solder is forgiving.
