Does anyone have a sample or a Modern day paint # for Anniversary yellow and other 1955 colors?
Also where the 1955 tanks only offered in solid colors or two tone combinations?

Re: 1955 paint samples
If you have an original paint part you can color match using PPG's book of colors at your local auto paint store.
If not John Pierce of Colorwrite - 603-942-5610
1955 - Any combination of tanks in one color and fenders in another using our standard colors, except hollywood green, will be supplied at no extra charge.

55pan!---As said earlier if you have a piece to colormatch---ANY shop with the PPG COMP. can get it spot on!, My buddy owns a AUTO body & Paint shop, & he can match sunfade from a car in the sun for 15yrs. & so on!--HE matched my eggplant purple (from a eggplant )-I brang in!--Its amazing how that machine works!--All colors start from powder & are weighed to how many grams of each to achieve the color you want!--They can even do a patina type job like original paint from 55 that just been in the weather & other depleting problems ,UV rays for EX.---In my opinion its the way to go!---RICHIE---I also love black primer in spraybomb can!

Re: 1955 paint samples
Thanks for the replys. I don't have a sample of the colors or I would match it myself. ( I own a body shop myself )
I will call john Pierce and go from there.

dennis,
i used the old dupont paint codes from palmers book.
i don't know if they are still valid but you could always try and see if a paint shop could translate them for you.
