Oil Tank black paint

#1

Post by kehughes »

I plan on painting my sheetmetal Brilliant Black on my '50 FL. My rims, primary cover, etc. are a semi-gloss black. My question is: Should the oil tank be the semi-gloss or match the sheetmetal? I was thinking it should be the semi-gloss. Thanks for your help.

The oil tank is black nomatter what color the sheet metal is,so I would go with matching everything else.

I think there was only one color (hollywood green?) that the sheet metal and oil tank were all the same color. 1955?
All other oil tanks are black I agree.
