65 Footboards

#1

Post by old1955 »

G'day,

Can some one tell me?

Was 65 the last year of the footboard pad rivet?

Mine are just glued on, but I think they should have rivets.

thanks
Pete

I have an OEM set of floor boards in the factory package that are welded, not riveted to the mounts and the rubbers are glued on. The holes for the rivets are in the boards. This is what the dealer was selling at the end. I don't know when they started this but the factory sticker on the board says 4/75. This is a Rob type question. Bob L

Have a set of D-shaped footboards that came as an extra set with my 65 pan in 1970 and the rubber is glued to the steel; the oval shaped ones on the pan are riveted and have some sort of date code on them.
