Is the 3 channel luggage carrier correct for a 56?
Thanks
Gregg

Re: luggage carrier
yes, correct for '56, but you also need the correct side pieces. The bend in the side supports is different for the hard tails and the DuoGlides.
That one on ePay that Rick just sent the link for is misleading because even though it will fit the '49 thru '57 bikes it was not offered until '52. I have one on my '49 but its not correct.

Re: luggage carrier
Thanks guys,
what was confusing me is that I saw that a new carrier came out in 58(?), That seemed to be the 3 bar type. I guess that was the different arms for the Duo. I have the 3 bar (channel) that I though might have been added in the 60's, but it fits and the angle looks right. so it must be the correct hardtail version.

Re: luggage carrier
Reading The Post Here , So I Thought I Would Send a Picture . I Run The 3 Bar On My '50 Pan Because I Didn't Want To Drill Holes In My Fender. Who Is To Say Somebody Didn't Buy a New Panhead In 1950 and Add a Rack That Became Available In 1952? The Rack On Top Is The '58 and Up Model. Are You Aware Of The Quick Detach Brackets For This 3 Bar Rack? I Use These With a Leather Tour Pack . EZ On EZ Off For The 3 Bar Rail . V-Twin Has Them Part #49-2523 I'm Not Sure What MOCO Part Number Is. But They Did Use Them For Years On The Fiberglass Tour Packs
