Re: Panhead Neck Cups
You can’t tell with out a caliber. Earlier and later cups are identical. The only difference being the race. The earlier cups take a Timken 07196 race and 07100 bearing. The later cup takes a Timken L44610 race and a L44643 bearing (Buy them at your local bearing suppy). The earlier race has a smaller OD than the later. The later race will not fit in the earlier cup but the early race will fit in the later cup loosely. Be careful. If I remember correctly the earlier race and bearing are higher, so if you’re going to run tins you got to have them or the triple tree mounting holes won’t line up. Mark Blankenship remakes the earlier cups if you need them. I can’t find his number here but I’m sure some one here has it. Mark Blankenship,(304)697-1445 49-59 cups custom made for 16 roller timkens and races, not 60 up 19 roller which is what every one else sells...Mike
