Saw a post on the board some time ago dealing with the replacement of the neck lock cylinder. Just finished rebuilding a 58 FLH basket case for which i have no key.
As I recall the post dealt with drilling out a pin that holds the lock cylinder in the neck, but I need more info on this procedure. Do not see any obvious pin near the lock and the service manual does not cover this. Any help will be appreciated.

Re: Neck lock cylinder replacement
Looking straight at the lock core, the nub of a twisted-off screw should be at about one o'clock, about 5/8" from the outside of the forging.
Use a long left-hand 1/8' drillbit (with the headstock removed of course. Be carefull not to drill into the lock core itself. Use another B1 key to twist and pull for feel on the core, until it comes free. T'aint easy.
Then send the core to Zach's for a key.
Pop the welch plug off of the front of the headstock forging, and pry through the core hole to push the plunger out for cleaning. reassemble without the spring.
Good luck.

Hey FXE76!
Guess what!
That part number is exaclty the same as V-TWIN's.
J&P is just a middleman.
The part still is ugly.
