Swingarm bearings and seals

I have aquired a '58 frame with swingarm and will maybe slowly start to build it up. Got a new pivot bolt with spacers so all I need is bearings and seals. Can anyone give me a Timken or similar bearing number I can go to my local bearing shop? Also the seals, they usually go by inner and outer diameter right? Any numbers for those? Thanks.

Thanks for the reply, is that a wheel bearing or swingarm bearing??
I did some reseach after I posted, found a Timken LM11949 swingarm bearing.

Those numbers came right out of the parts book for 58-68 Electra, Duo-glides

You can measure the OD of the hole in the swingarm, measure the depth, take the bolt with you along with the spacers , and the bearing house can figure it out. The seals are measured by OD (the swingarm hole) ID, the outside of the spacer, and width, the depth of the swingarm hole minus the bearing width.
They are all real standard parts. Sorry i don't have the numbers handy.

Thans for the info, I had contemplated doing all that but being at work on a computer at the time I decided to ask the questions. One thing, I have a friend who says there is and alternative to tapered rollers, its sealed double row bearings, must then have a spacer between them, anyone heard of that? What would the advantage be.....less friction??

The tapered roller are better than any ball type. They will carry enormous loads if set up properly. Hundreds of thousands of H-Ds use them as well as Millions of cars. No need to reinvent the wheel.
