Rigid Frame coil mount

Post by Lynrd »

My frame has 3/8"-24 holes for the coil mount. looks wrong to me - shouldn't they be 5/16-24?

What year is your frame? They changed to 3/8ths in '56. Also many earlier frames with stripped holes have been tapped oversize.

It's a '49 frame. I think it likely was stripped and tapped, but it's a damn nice job.
