I wonder about the rear sprocket!

Post by HARLEYMAN53 »

I have ones cut out the center of a custom rear sprocket with 47 teeth instead of the 51 original. I wonder if there is any manufacturer in the states that make these? If so can anyone help me get it?
It´s a much nicer ride with lower rpm with my 47 teeth.

I don't know of any, engine and trans sprockets are available in different sizes.

Harleyman53!

Can you post a photo of your 47T sprocket?

It would seem to require either a smaller drum, or a larger chain.

Nothing of it cotten!
I just machined out the center of a back sprocket, milled a "countersinc" (just like the original) for the drum to sit and drilled holes for the drum and then i was done! I will post a pic of it as i get it home.
It works great so i dont think you are with me on this one. No different chain, no different drum!
