Re: Belt drive play
I have a narrow Primo belt on my bike. If I recall (and it's been a while) the instructions said allow 1/2" of deflection under 10 pounds of pressure. This is measured midway between the pullies.

Re: Belt drive play
Well then mine was definately to tight. Hopefully that would explain my clutch problems. I had about 1/4"play. Not sure how to determine the 10lbs. of pressure part.
I read thru the clutch post and sounds similar to what I have encountered. Clutch grabs at stoplight, hard or impossible to find nuetral. Doesn't seem to have enough pull to disengage all the way. I have used a Ram Jett retainer, now have a tamer installed. When adjusted almost no play it works until it gets hot, then back to grabbing. Thought maybe the belt adjustment would help. will try it tonight, thanks for help.
