Clutch screwed up

#1

Post by haggis »

Bad day yesterday!
Clutch screwed up...and kicker started to rotate down all by itself!!! Good thing I was only doing about 20.
Got the Purple bastard home on my trailer. Pulled the kicker cover and the throw out bearing, retaining clip and slinger all fell out!The stop pin on the kicker gear is all bent to hell too!!
Got all new pushrod kit and kicker gear ordered.
Question,....does it matter what side of the tranny I insert the new rod from? Haggis
Ps. Hope this is not payback for calling that 45 a piece of shit...............which it still is

Just make sure the stepped end is for the throw out bearing side , it should slide right in from either side. Of course you will probably have to re-adjust your clutch.
, but you knew that.

Karma rears its ugly head and bites me in the butt!
Teach me to keep my opinions to my self :)
Seriously though, i'm in the middle of a WLA project myself......and it definately will not look like a reject from the "lets weld a WW2 searchlight to my front fender school" ;)
No disrespect aimed at any Harley models, owners or builders! Haggis.

Ps,.......( it's still as ugly as my dogs ass :))
