How much Grease to clutch hub bearing?

#1

Post by Hop Up »

So how much is enough? Too much will fly away to the small friction plate, but too little ain't any better. Is wheel bearing grease good for this position? Thank you!

Sorry for not being able to use the search function. I found answer now:

I try to keep the grease to a minimum, as long as the bearing has a film coating it should be fine. You don't need grease all over the friction plates, plus if you really pack it in there can the shell fully release the hub? Or will the grease drag a bit...
