Re: Mousetrap Eliminator Kit
There isn't much to the kit. There is a cable, a special bracket that mounts under the front of he oil tank (see photo) and a shorter clutch release arm.

Don't forget to complete the job with the correct clutch and springs, without the help of the mousetrap, the lever pull will be difficult. It's often available as a complete kit, bracket, clutch, springs, arm and cable. Save all the old parts.

I thought the purpose of the eliminator was to do away with the mouse trap? Do I use both in conjunction? Thanks!Scrap wrote:Don't forget to complete the job with the correct clutch and springs, without the help of the mousetrap, the lever pull will be difficult. Yeah, I see what he is saying. I just read that wrong.hplhd wrote:heath, it does do away with the "mousetrap".
Re: Mousetrap Eliminator Kit
If you have all the mousetrap stuff, do yourself a favor and learn how to adjust it. That way you can avoid switching back to the trap after you get tired of buying new clutch cables for your eliminator kit. Plus, the mouse trap just looks cool.

The mousetrap does look cool, and it works great when adjusted but I used an eliminator for many many years, the cable looks like it came off the Brooklyn Bridge and has never failed.VPH-D wrote:If you have all the mousetrap stuff, do yourself a favor and learn how to adjust it. Re: Mousetrap Eliminator Kit
Make a bracket like the pic cashnd1 posted or buy one. Find a short later model arm for the tranny. Take half the springs out of the clutch. That’s it.
