Clutch was making unusual noises ....
Lots of play between inner hub and outer basket.
Replaced balls with rollers, clutch is quieter.

You might be due for some different clutch parts, Jerry. Looks like the roller surface is about shot on both parts. And some pretty healthy grooves in the hub studs.
You can replace the studs, it's an easy job, but maybe not worth it given the shape of the bearing surface, IMHO.
Harley didn't change the clutch for decades, you can even run a newer shovelhead clutch. Shouldn't be hard to find a decent one at a swap meet.
