Generator bolt sizes?

#1

Post by kehughes »

Im looking for an original cam cover for a 1950 Panhead and I know that alot of them have been drilled out at their generator holes to accomadate the larger generator bolts of later pans. What are the two sizes of the generator bolts so I'll know whether or not one has been drilled? I will be using the 1950 size with a 32E. Thanks.

P.S. If anyone has a nice correct cam cover, Im interested.

The bolts for a '50 are 1/4" and are that way all the way through '57. then they change to 5/16 for a two brush generator.
