Description: Anybody ever run a late Sporty Hitachi generator on their Pan?

Anybody ever run a late Sporty Hitachi generator on their Pan? My Pan is a '65 E-start with an FXE gel battery. Was wondering if I could get
more juice out of the Jap genny? Compared to my 'old trusty 65A gen..

I have been running a sportster Hitachi generator on my 60 pan for the last 15 years and have had no problems at all. They are very reliable and pretty much bullet-proof in my experience. Just make sure you use the right gear.

I use a Cycle Electric solid state regulator - the one with three wires that can be used with a 65A generator. Ed.

While we are on the subject of regulators does anyone know of a 12volt solid state regulator that looks like, and installs, where the old 6volt relay does?

King, hope the old girl is running good. Mine is getting a little hard to start in the cold.
VTWIN has what you are looking for at a whooping $123.00. I am sure you can get it cheaper someplace else.
