My Panhead gave me the Finger !

Just replaced the primary chain and was buttoning up the bike.

I could not get the clutch to adjust. So, I had to pull off the kicker cover and inspect.

Look what I found !

Is this a typical failure ? That is not rust on the finger, but the Redline shockproof heavy tranny oil.

Wow, that's strange such a heavy duty part would just snap, I wonder if it's an OEM release finger?

It looks like one of the chinese powdered metal parts. The parts are just too hard and brittle.
