I need to buy a manual that covers ratchet shifting trannys. I would like to have the best one available if that is possible.
It can cover the Panhead in general also, but the tranny is the most important to me.
Let me know which one to get !!!!!

Thanx

Clymer is a general manual, but the section covering ratchet tops alone will be enough to keep you busy for a while. If you get it you won't regret it. Do a search for "Clymer" and you'll probably just be able to link to Amazon.com.
Best twentysome dollars I ever spent.

After looking at the two books, I would opt for the Clymer Panhead manual. The photos/diagrams are much cleaner and easier to see in the Clymer manual. The Panhead service manual is poor quality. It looks like a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy, ect ect ect...... I think you get the idea.
I agree with Kell, there is a lot of bang for the buck in the Clymer manual.
