Indian manuals

#1

Post by robbby84 »

Hi

I've just purchased a totally dismounted Indian 741B that I'll restore in my next life or before, I hope!

From Indian's owners: wha do you think are best manuals or documents that I need to start my project?

Thanks a lot in advace!

Did the previous owner dismount in a graceful manner or was he knocked off the 741 ?

The bike has been dismounted and prepared for the restoration...but you know: it's Always hard try to complete a puzzle without the cover image :D

I've already found and printed manuals indicated. Do you think could be enought?

Thank you

if you plan on restoring to military specs , a military vehicle forum or ww2 re-enactment forum is also a good place to join
to get good info and maybe close to you

I think that bike was totally DISASSEMBLED, but alot of the hard work, such as cadium plating of the parts, cleaning up the various other parts, finding gaskets, etc., has been done. Only thing I see missing is the speedometer bracket on the top right tube on the girder front end. Easly made and welded on. Plenty of pictures of complete 741B on the interwebs for you to compare. There is also considerable hot-rodding done to these (vintage racing) especially in Australia and New Zealand, although the result is modest compared to 45" engines.

theres a 741 down here that cleaned up in the classics , against motoguzzi , nortons , you name it he passed it !!

= checker flag

the white bike here , Graeme Care #180 . It wouldnt surprise me if it would give a sport scout a rear view
he still has this bike
