Original paint for 1967 Early Shovel
hello,
I would like to restore my 1967 early shovel in original paint. i tried to find some pictures of the bike in black and birch white, but could not find any pictures.
Maybe you guys can help me?

It would look exactly like this one on the brochure, just with black instead of blue...panel is the same.

They're all so wholesome! I've seen a lot of them. I get a kick out of the '68 Electra-Glide add (since I'm restoring one). I expect to see someone ride through in the background on a polo pony. Or maybe Austin Powers. Meanwhile in Oakland circa 1966...

Are there comparable color manufacturers and color codes that you can use today?

I don't know what to say about "black" because all blacks are not the same.
As for the "Birch White", I found three manufactures I am familiar with and their code numbers. You would have to go to an automotive paint vendor who sell one of these brands to try to get them to dig out that old formula from the 1960s and try to make that color with today's modern paint systems. And good luck with that....
