Pic shows mounting tabs for swingarm struts. Obviously spot-welded on. Wondering if this was a later factory add-on, as the parts book shows nuts used to mount the struts. These tabs are threaded 5/16-24. I looked at 3 fenders at Oley. One from a '70 had the thin tabs ( the ones behind) and the holes were clearance. The other one had hex nuts spot-welded on, but it looked to be early duo-glide, as there were no holes in the flip to mount directionals. The 3rd looked to be for later electra-glide, but once again had thin tabs spot-welded and clearance holes, not threaded. And info on different mounting practices appreciated.
