Need to know where the wires exit the rear fender for the lights on the rail. Can anyone chime in here?

Re: Wire Routing 1968-1976 FLH Saddlebag Rail Lights
Are the rail lights factory?
My 69 had two fender holes, one for the turn/brake lamps and a second that I really didnt see a need for so I didnt use it. I have aftermarket rails, but since the rail was open near its mounting point by the shock, the rail it's self provided the best conduit protection to the back end. Trying to run the rail lamps wires under the fender didn't make sense because there wasn't room in the brake lamp conduit for more wire.

I used to mount lots of accessory lights to rails, from single units like those to full light bars. Always ran the wires through the fender support rails and dropped them down the bag rail supports. Never in the fender.

Re: Wire Routing 1968-1976 FLH Saddlebag Rail Lights
I believe these lights are factory accessories. The photo is of a friend's OP 1970 FLH. Another guy I know also has an OP 1970 with the same lights. My 1970 with 17K miles has these lights but they weren't mounted when I got the bike along with a pile of parts, so I am trying to understand how the wires were routed. Seems like there might not be a single "correct" method.
Thanks!
