Hi All,
Wanted to update you on some progress. I got my frontfender back yesterday and i've bolted all the shiny bits on. It's been one helluva job, i did most of the prep work myself and had it painted by a pro. Here are some pictures, the last picture is how it was when i bought it. It looked like a warzone..

Here is a pic of a 41 WL that I am doing a mechanical rebuild on , whilst maintaining the " As Found " look.

Looks like a fun project. I like those SA WLAs with the 16s and export stuff like front stands. The Brit pillion seat is an interesting touch too.

The WL has a Lucas horn as well & a Brit style front brake lever.

Re: Any good WL/WLA/G Projects going on
Engine install completed. I had the engine in a 45 engine stand, I inverted my motorcycle stand so the rubber was on the bottom making is easier to slide around. I pushed it in with ease.
Cheers!

Re: Any good WL/WLA/G Projects going on
Can the engine be installed with the pipe in place as in the 3rd pic?

Re: Any good WL/WLA/G Projects going on
The pipes need to be off to install some of the other items. Not so much on a trike but for sure on a solo as the rear brake bellcrank encapsulates the rear header. On a Servi-Car with factory pipes the front header has a tab not a clamp that goes over the front support rod. The transmission filler is also a source of interference. The rear motor mount bolts are meant to be installed from below which has to happen before the rear support rod goes in.
