Hi There
I’m fitting a belt drive to the primary of my WLA build.
I found much on the subject but not a definitive answer for the 45.
Can I completely block off the primary oiler or is it also the crankcase vent?
What would be the best way to block it?
If and when it wet sumps (hoping solved after pump work) where does the oil actually leave the crankcase, from the oiler tube?
Thanks in advance
Neil.

Re: Disconnecting Primary Oiler
Neil, read the manual; you can block off the chain oiler by removing the washer off the screw on top of the case above the pump, and screw it in completely home.
When sumping occurs, oil leaves the case by the vent

Re: Disconnecting Primary Oiler
The oiler on a 45 is only that, it is not a vent. You can shut off the pump, or you can plug the tube, or even remove the tube and plug the case. Any will work.
