2nd question, when I mentioned buying a pin kit he said he has spare VL rockers and a spring fork, will these fit that servi fork?

VL rockers will interchange (casting is slightly different but only in the area where the grease zerks screw in and the zerks may differ as well) but the spring fork will not as they are totally different.

In your picture the rocker stud should protrude slightly beyond the rocker casting, the bushing length should match the casting. Are those reproduction parts?

so here my update, got my pin/bushing kit yesterday. grabbed the mic , measured the bushings all seem the same. Locked the mic and it doesnt slide over any of the rocker bodies. so the rocker bodies are bigger than the bushings, so I assuming theres an issue/repop. gonna check my dads VL rockers. Or is it same/possible to shave a touch off the bodies?

If they are repop it is likely they are the issue. No problem with shaving them. The bushings are the correct BT/Servi-Car type right, not 45?

As I said most likely repop given the story teller I got her from.. Yes I made sure to get the big twin pin kit. So the bushing only stick out a tiny bit on each side?

Just enough so that when the rear stud has the washer on it and the front stud the nut and lock they have slight end play, around .005-.010.

new bushing in the VL rocker all spin free in hand. got new upper and lower buffer springs. found my spring rods very bent so I replaced. Still pogo sticking!! i can grab the springs, not moving. Had to use a bar to pry it. So I thinking maybe the spring fork has issue, when I priced 1 it said big twin and servicar, so I can use my dads VL fork?
I running out of ideas other than the spring fork, would the brake pivot make it tight?

VL fork front legs are very different than the '36 up tubular fork front leg. They do not interchange. Nor do any springs.
The brake pivot should not affect the movement.
What springs are you using on it, factory or aftermarket? Does it have a shock on it? Many aftermarket shocks do not work properly and are in effect rigid causing no movement of the fork.

so the buffer springs I got were Vtwin. No idea about the outer springs. Was present before I installed the shock, but I got that kit from Cimarron cycle works. The rockers are VL and bushings and pins I got cimarron also. rockers spin great in my hands . Im pretty sure the spring rods were Vtwin also....I will say I had to pull em open to fit bushings?they were both leaning inward. maybe it is my fork, the fork should run straight/parallel to the ridged fork?

Basically yes, however that depends on the rear leg you have as there are pre 40 forward swept legs. Which ball joints are fitted and are they free on the spring rods and well lubed?

ill take some pics assembled before I pull it apart again. cause the fork is very close to the ridged fork the more I sit back and look at it.I did grease the bushings and fork itself slides smooth without the springs by hand when I had it apart the first time, even with the bent spring rods. let me ask wheres the best place for replacements?

Thanks Rubone for taking time to help a novice much appreciated

Inner upper springs are way too long and the lower inners look like there are sidecar inners in there. Neither are correct for a solo fork.
