Got the rust out of my tank two days ago but now would like to get the flash rust out also. I know I should have done something then after the water flush. Help please.

1] drop a ton of washer bolts in and shake baby, shake baby,

Re: flash rust
Get yourself a pint of Marvel mystery oil, put half in each tank, shake it around to cover all surfaces pour out excess and your all done. I have used Marvel for years adding to my oil tank and fuel.

Re: flash rust
I have heard of guys over here in the U.K. dropping a load of nuts and bolts in the tank, wrapping it safely and securely in a duvet and letting it tumble around in a tumble dryer on a cold setting for a while. Then washing it out and applying a rust inhibitor. I guess they all work, but you can have a beer whilst you wait for the tumble dryer to do its work, win win situation.
