front axel bolt is 7/8 but the chrome cover is 1"

The heavy chrome cap that covers the left front axel nut measures 1" but the nut is 7/8" if I tighten the set screw its probably going to look like its wobbeling.
On the right front axel the cap is round and wat to big ,maybe 1/8" inch play..Are these wrong or is there something I'm missing?

Not sure I know exactly what you mean. Maybe my axle cover is different from yours, but the the axle doesn't turn so it won't be wobbling.
