200 rear tire on 50's FL frame

I want to run a 200 rear tire on my scoot and was wondering if anyone else has the same set up and what offset was required for everything to line up :?:

I don't think you'll get that big of a tire in stock frame, but I could be wrong?

My question is why? To each their own, but that big of a tire would not look right in a stock frame, at least not to me.

I'm building a little chopper with a hot rod look, something different from all the stock panhead and so called bobbers out there.
I've got the wheel in the frame already and there is plenty room left for sprocket and brakes. just need to know the exact
offset to get the right tranny plate.

Hmmmmmmm thats a tight fit for a Harley ridged frame! you need a 5.5 to 6 in rim I thinking...hope your not going to modify a Orig frame to make it fit...the tape measure will tell all! Let us know !

with the stock frame, any increase in rim width will make it extremely difficult to remove the wheel. Previous owner got a good deal on a replacement rim and had it laced up to the old hub, he also thought the wider rim would look good. His ears burn whenever I have to remove that wheel...Mike

If you off set the transmission you will also have to offset the engine, that, or offset the drive sprocket. Keep in mind the more you move the weight to the left the less ride able this bike will be. moving weight to either side will cause an imbalance in it's distribution and the bike will want to pull to the heavy side. Stock rocks, why not leave it that way. Better drivability, less headaches. And please don't destroy a stock frame because you think it would be "COOL". Just my two cents
