Tire Mounting

#1

Post by panz4ever »

Picked up a set of the Firestone repops from Coker. There is no directional indication on them (like today's tires) showing they are to be mounted a certain way. Called the help line at Coker and the representative could not be definitive other than to say that he saw nothing in the add to indicate that they had to be put on a certain way.

Anybody here provide the information?

I put mine on without any concern for the rotation direction and they seem fine to me for 6k miles now. Just my opinion, but since they where never really intended for higher speeds it probibly doesn't matter how you mount them.

Thanks for the info. Going on my 49 EL project that will be and look somewhat correct, and at age 61 those days of high speed driving are far behind.
