Check this out! Neat film showing of what appears to be 1958 Duo Glides, Sportsters and light weights.

Re: Duo Glide sales film
After watching the film a second time I noticed the cop on the silver HD is actually an earlier rigid framed Hydra Glide! Also, there are no Sprints, they were a couple years coming in the future. The poor Servicar barely got any deserved attention!
One thing about this film is how stoic America was in the 1950's. Every body is clean cut, no tattoo's plus every one is Caucasian! Also, no one seems to be wearing helmets nor gloves.
The Panhead may not have been the fastest HD produced but it has to be the prettiest! Lots of sheet metal instead of cast aluminum trim. Such a simple and rugged motorcycle!
Sure wished I could go back in time and buy a brand new Duo Glide!

Did you also notice the chic-magnet effect?? Every time the young fella would stop, the girls are just flocking around him! There is definitely something wrong with my bikes.. Maybe because they're old, the magnet lost its power, and reversed its polarity... It now repels the young ladies:-\

I'll bet if you pulled up on that bike today, you might not attract many girls, but it would certainly be a guy magnet. I know I'd want to get close.

The women (and men) are paid actors, this is not normal behavior.
Harley is using these attractive women to sell motorcycles.

They are actors??!?!? Just when I thought women back then dressed like that for real.. Shame:(1950Panhead wrote: Harley is using these attractive women to sell motorcycles.
What a brilliant concept! I am surprised no one else is doing this...
