Yes, but the difference is that the adapter for the airfilter is an off the shelf item and the manifold is bespoke, so a bit more complicated. @dragstews The bore is slighty less than the S&S bore. |

Looks like a huge restriction to me ...  Wonder if you cut out around to match the adapter and weld in a support plate on the inside of the backing plate for strength would be the ticket .. ?? How's your Tig welding ... I can do the job for ya if need be ... |

 I can make that happen .... Will look like it came that way from the Mo-Co when I'm done with it too ... But to tell ya the truth, using the Linkert will not enhance the performance... Those heads have the Shovel size intake valves and like to breathe ... |

I did the same gig as "Panhead" did many years back on the 52 ... Went about it a bit differently than he did but did net the J-Slot A/C (Oem for 52) look on a S.U. ...  Now the HD6 will be taken off and a Super-B will take it's place ... Since it's been on my scooter for over 35 years, it's kinda like saying bye to an old friend ..  Reason for the Carb swap was the 52 is growing a bit bigger in displacement and needed a bigger carb to feed 92 cubes .. Still keeping the J-Slot A/C ... Well sorta, got a today's new and improved version on the "B" ...   Yeah, I know, went a little nuts on the dadgum thing ... That A/C was a booger to make it work on the "B" carb cause it was made for the "E" carbs ...  A bit of slicing up a Super-B backing plate and a bit of time at the lathe got it to work ...    I wasn't after looks of bone stock .. As you can see, the 52 is far from stock ..  The only person you have to please, is yourself .... |

@dragstews The diameter of the Linkert backplate is 40 mm, of the S&S 53 mm. So a huge difference as you said and with the Linkert backplate running too rich. So I opened the Linkert backplate to 53mm (not the original, but the AM) and problem solved. Also needed the adapter not anymore. |

| Nice ... Now if you wanted to gain a bit more flow (By means of a vortex cone and radiused air entryway) ya could hunt up this Vortex air cleaner bolt on gizmo ...  Gives a better route for the air to enter the carb throat ... Kinda like how the S&S Air cleaners are made ... Back in da day these little add-on Vortex gizmos was made from plastic .. Ya could slice up a S&S Air cleaner backing plate and make your own up .... |

Lookie what I found ....  No need to cut up a S&S backing plate .... The company that makes this is call "Fork" and are in Japan ... Just a little over 40 Bucks (USD) ... That's ^^ pretty freaken trick .. Even has two horns to nail to the backing plate ... (More support for the whole air cleaner) |

Just got done with a few mods on this E carb ...   Added on a few "User Friendly" items ... And it got a shine job ... This carb is about 25 years old, don't look like it's that old now ... I might add a DaVinci Power Booster Nozzle to it .... If I get a "Go-Ahead" from the owner .. ?? He said to make it so ... Got one on my order list .... Since I'm placing a order for one of these, anybody else wanna jump on the bandwagon ... ?? They fit Super E/G and the Super B/D carbs ... $37 + the ride to your doorstep ... USPS flat rate might get it to you for around $15 bucks ... |
