First electric start Harley696 viewsThe push-button starter actually worked the first time I used it after the rebuild. The paint is called Copperhead Pearl and it is used on Dodge Ram Trucks and Jeeps.sidecarmikeApr 18, 2014

My first Pan531 viewsNot intended to be a restoration, instead it is a 1965 Harley-Davidson FLH with modern disc brakes and an S&S carburetor.sidecarmikeApr 18, 2014

1965 Harley project1056 viewsMy 1965 Harley project is moving along. I have done a partial assembly to see how all of the pieces and parts fit. I have to determine if there is any more grinding, welding, or fabrication that has to be done prior to painting and final assembly. At this point there is no paint; all of the metal parts are just bare metal. There is no electrical wiring done yet, I am in the process of doing the wiring now. It is a fun project and I am enjoying working on it and staying busy during this long winter.sidecarmikeMar 08, 2013

1965 Panhead project687 views1965 Panhead project is starting to come together. The original frame had been modified, bent, cracked, pitted. and generally in very poor shape. I bought a Santee frame for this project. Here is the bike with the bare metal parts starting to go together. I may have to do some more welding or fabricating during this first assembly. After I get it wired and running, I will take it all apart for paint.sidecarmikeJan 03, 2013

1965 FLH, my first Panhead903 viewsI recently acquired this 1965 Harley-Davidson FLH from a former coworker. The bike was parked in his garage for nine years and covered with sawdust and spider webs. I brought it home, cleaned it up a bit on its first day, and this is what popped out of the messy debris. The HD frame is stretched about two inches and raked to 36". This will make a perfect project with which to start my retirement.2 commentssidecarmikeSep 05, 2012
